Relaxing Llandudno

In July, Gill Bodman took her group, SIDARA, a member of the Kent Active Retirement Association, on a five-day holiday to Llandudno. Organised through InterChoice Holidays, Gill reports back.

‘We regularly use InterChoice Holidays for our group breaks, and the company is brilliant. The support from the booking team makes my life easy as one person looks after all arrangements from booking the hotel to taking the money. Over the years we have come to know several of the friendly coach drivers and we now ask for one of favourites for our trips and InterChoice are happy to oblige.

For our July break, the coach picked us up in Sidcup and we drove straight to North Wales only stopping for comfort breaks. We stayed on the seafront at the Four Oaks Hotel, which was lovely with friendly staff and good food, although the single rooms were on the small side.

Taking our driver’s advice, we made two excursions – one a scenic drive through Snowdonia and Betws-y-Coed with a stop at the National Slate Museum in Llanberis.

Our second trip was to Caernarvon where we had free time to visit the magnificent medieval castle or browse around the shops. Llandudno itself was delightful, and we all enjoyed exploring the town and walking along the seafront and Grade II pier, which dates back to the late 1800s and offers an array of shops, cafes and bars. It’s a lovely resort for a group holiday.’
